The part about making situations work long past the point where they’re actually working really stayed with me. I think so many of us, especially women, become terribly good at adapting to things that aren’t necessarily good for us. And sometimes the familiar feels easier than the unknown, even when we know something needs to change. Such a thoughtful reminder that change takes practice, patience and a fair bit of kindness towards ourselves. ❤️

thanks for reading and sharing your reflections Elle. I feel you so much on that superpower so many of us having of being “adaptable” and how it can be overused. and yes to practice, patience and loads of kindness! blessings to your beautiful heart! ❤️

Thank you, Katie! ❤️ I think the tricky part is recognising when being adaptable has stopped helping us and started costing us something. I’m still learning that one myself! Sending lots of kindness right back to you. xx

yesss I am always looking to build my self trust muscles, as someone who has adapted too many times in service to others… my body gives me really clear signs and when I’m over giving. receiving you kindness and reflecting it back ❤️

That’s such a good way of putting it, Katie. Learning to trust those little warning signs instead of pushing through them is something I’m working on too. It’s amazing how easily we can recognise what everyone else needs while completely overlooking ourselves! ❤️ Sending you lots of kindness xx

Katie, this is powerful reminder that changing our patterns takes compassion, patience, and practice. We don’t stay because we’re weak; sometimes the familiar feels safer than the unknown. Remember, healing begins when we stop judging ourselves and start gently showing ourselves a new way forward.
